Our services include training, daily walks, feeding, playing with your pet, grooming, and clean-up. You can rely on us whether you’re away for a few days or weeks. We also provide daily dog-walking services. And we are just a bark away!

About Us

Dogs who spend time at one of The Spot Experience’ four locations in Manhattan, New York, often undergo a remarkable transformation: they become less stressed, more relaxed, and altogether better socially adjusted in the company of other dogs. The Spot Experience does everything possible to make client pets feel like they are at their very own spa. Guests never stay in cages or crates, but lie on cozy beds in open areas, though the staff segregates dogs by relative size and temperament for their safety. Head of Canine Operations Brewster Smith trains the entire team in removing a classic canine stressor, the need to sort out which other critter has alpha position in the space. 

Smith’s Human Alpha Instincts Method ensures that dogs can discard having to work out the pecking order. Doggy daycare clients get two walks, always with one individual dog counselor, never in a pack. The Spot Experience will make an exception for dogs from the same family if they have already become used to walking together, of course. Rubber-matted play areas indoors maximize the conditions for safe interactions between the visitors. The firm also offers door-to-door pickup and drop-off service for busy human owners. 

Grooming options include a bath, gland expression, ear cleaning, trimmed nails and pads, a gentle wash, and blow dry. The Spot Experience supports The Spot Foundation created by owner Mitch Marrow. Having previously been part of the hedge fund world, Mitch Marrow recognized first-hand the immediate need for real charitable dollars to flow into the animal welfare community, particularly into small animal welfare organizations that have less chance of receiving monetary donations from larger charities and are, therefore, at significant risk for failure. 

Keeping all this in mind, Marrow leads the Spot Foundation towards the hope that that one day, “no animal is left behind.” The Spot Foundation’s success is driven in part by its ability to attract the most credible and successful people from all walks of life and communities. We have begun to assemble an All-Star team comprised of generous donors, loyal believers, and influential people in the entertainment, athletic, financial, real estate, and hospitality industries who all share a common passion and desire to help animals. In short, we are creating a movement.
